Privacy Policy
Effective October 12, 2026
This policy describes how A.G. Assanti & Associates, PC ("the firm," "we") collects and uses personal information through assantilaw.com. It is provided under the California Online Privacy Protection Act (CalOPPA, Business and Professions Code sections 22575–22579).
Information we collect
- Information you give us. When you use the intake form, we collect your name, company, phone number, email address, the type of matter, the names of other parties, and the summary you write. If you email or call, we receive what you send or say.
- Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our hosting provider's servers automatically log technical information such as your IP address, browser type, referring page, pages requested, and the date and time. The intake form also records your IP address temporarily to limit spam submissions.
How we use information
- To respond to your request and decide whether the firm can help
- To run conflict-of-interest checks required by professional rules
- To send an automatic confirmation that we received your form
- To operate, secure, and maintain the website and prevent spam and abuse
We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Who we share it with
- Firm personnel who review intake requests
- Service providers that operate the site and email on our behalf, such as our web hosting provider and email provider, which process data under their own terms
We may also disclose information if required by law, court order, or professional rules, or to protect the rights and safety of the firm, our clients, or others.
This site links to other websites, such as the State Bar of California, Google Maps, and bike911.com. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.
Cookies and tracking
This site does not set cookies and does not use analytics, advertising, tracking pixels, or third-party fonts. We do not allow third parties to collect personal information about your online activities over time and across different websites when you use this site. If we add analytics in the future, we will update this policy first.
Do Not Track signals
Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" signal. Because this site does not track visitors across websites, it does not change its behavior in response to that signal.
Reviewing or correcting your information
To review, correct, or ask us to delete personal information you submitted through this site, email intake@assantilaw.com with the subject "Privacy request," or write to the address below. We may need to verify your identity and may need to keep some information to meet legal or professional obligations, such as conflict-of-interest records.
Security and retention
The site uses an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. Access to intake emails is limited to firm personnel. No method of transmitting or storing information is completely secure, and email is not a secure way to send sensitive material. We keep intake information only as long as needed to respond, maintain conflict and business records, and meet legal and professional obligations. Spam-prevention records are deleted after about one hour. Server logs are kept by our hosting provider under its own retention schedule.
Children
This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If a parent or guardian believes a child has sent us information, please contact us so we can delete it.
California privacy rights
The California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) applies only to businesses that meet certain thresholds. The firm does not believe the CCPA currently applies to it. California residents may still contact us with any question or request about their personal information, and we will respond as the law requires.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will post the updated version here and change the effective date. Significant changes will also be noted on the home page for a reasonable period.
